Long drives!

Well, it's been about a month since my last post, so I figured I should share some thoughts with you!
Within the last week, I've driven to Des Moines and back twice so I should say I've had a lot of time to think and reflect about all sorts of things!

During my drive today, I realized that it's good (some may even be so bold as to say healthy) to bend the rules a little and "be a rebel"! All my life I've followed the rules, guidelines, procedures, etc. and shown up for classes, meetings...I think you get the picture! While that's fine and dandy, I sometimes feel like I'm going through the motions and missing out on LIFE!
I've never seen this movie but I figured the title fit pretty well, plus who doesn't love James Dean?!

Haven't you all done something completely random-fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants?  Sure, at the time it probably seemed crazy and a little scary, thinking you might get caught, but ultimately it's those decisions and events that really become rooted in your memory! I still remember running behind the hill across the street from my house to steal a kiss from the neighbor boy when I was six years old and I'll always recall prank calling 911 with my sister!  I probably shouldn't have done either of those things, but hey it's part of growing up and living life!

Feel free to share a time you felt like a rebel! Thanks for reading!
