God and the Tar Heels

Boy oh boy is my sister going to freak out when she reads this because I'm referencing the North Carolina Tar Heels for the entire post! In fact, any of my family members who read this will probably have a jaw-dropping reaction! Love it!

I may have to give you some information about the team before I can use them as an analogy! I honestly don't have a favorite player, but Alexa would probably tell you that Mr. Kendall Marshall is her main man on the court. Kendall is the point guard for the team, so he mainly brings the ball up and down the court, sets up the offense, and passes it to the open man to score. He is amazing when it comes to assists-averages about 10 per game. Tonight he had 12 assists and during his interview, he gave all the credit to his teammates for getting open and making the buckets! Let's face it, he wouldn't have gotten the assists if the guys missed all the shots! How incredibly unselfish of him to say that!

This is where I tie the Tar Heels in to living a life for God! It's the unselfishness, the giving nature that all of those young men wearing "Carolina blue" display during each game. They realize it's a team sport, and while they have individual statistics, those really don't matter...nor do our "individual statistics" matter in God's eyes. This game we call life should be a team sport and I think the Tar Heels make a great display for how we can all live our lives with unselfish and giving spirits!
