"Take more pictures"

Do you ever get the feeling that life is just passing you by?  Ever get caught up in everything going on around you; it becomes a whirlwind of events, big and small...then you look back and wonder if you were even a part of it all! My friend and I went to see the movie 'Safe Haven' and the main character Alex wants to capture every moment during a weekend at the beach, his son catching a fish, the family eating, etc. At one point, his son Josh tells him to make memories without a camera.  Easier said than done, right?

It got me thinking about the last several years of my life and all I've been blessed to experience. You would think that if one single moment meant a lot to me, it would not be difficult to remember it five or ten years down the road. Wrong. Once again, I feel it has everything to do with the "busyness" of our daily lives. We have too much on our plates and have to multi-task constantly. What exactly are we missing out on with our busy schedules? Would we even notice a simple blessing from God if it was right in front of our faces? I sure hope so!

It may be much easier to remember the "mundane" or "simplicity" when there is a picture attached to the memory!  So here goes a new challenge: photo documentation of the seemingly "less important" events that happen in my life.  A few years from now I just may appreciate the memories.

A few pictures of small events in my life that I have come to cherish!
