emotions or characteristics to be brought to the "table", or even the various emotions that are elicited by different relationships! Yes, I do a lot of thinking (not something I'm always proud of)!
Anyway, this weekend I was able to somewhat "examine" a few different relationships in my life and compare them to one another. Of course I ought to begin with my relationship with Jesus. My best friend, the one who's "got my back" in any and all situations, my helper & defender, my confidant...I never, ever have to doubt that the relationship will change on His end. I can only work to know Him better and grow closer to Him. How awesome to know there's a relationship in my life that is unchanging and steadfast!
Family and friends could be bundled together although there are times I interchange the groups and treat friends like family and vice versa. These relationships seem to be a give-and-take and for all those I adore in my life (friends and family) I find it easy and rewarding to "dish out" love to them like it's my day job!
At the end of the day I hope that everyone in my life can look at his/her relationship with me and think "she loves with all her heart" because who wants to be a "halfway friend" or a "mediocre sister"? And in that case, do you think Jesus wants us to be "middle of the road" followers/believers? Challenge extended: do you best to put all your heart into your relationships and enjoy the repercussions! :)
